This bathroom is a masterclass in understated luxury, seamlessly balancing functionality with a timeless aesthetic and a playful touch.

The brief was to design an easy-to-maintain space for the homeowners’ tween daughter—one that feels feminine and fun yet will evolve with her as she grows older. With this in mind, our designer crafted a bathroom she can cherish both now and in the years to come.

The layout is thoughtfully designed, with every element flowing harmoniously into the next. The luxurious, oversized walk-in shower serves as the room’s centerpiece, combining practicality with elegant simplicity. Recessed shelving offers discreet storage with a polished finish, while the minimalist shower screen ensures the space remains bright and airy while preventing water splashes. A wall-hung WC enhances the open feel and maximizes floor space, making the room easy to clean and maintain.

The bathroom’s colour scheme celebrates soft, neutral tones, evoking a sense of calm and serenity. Pale pink tiles with a matte finish provide a soothing backdrop, allowing the brushed brass fixtures to shine. These accents—ranging from mixer taps to the rainfall shower head—introduce a touch of opulence and warmth to the overall scheme.

Textures play a pivotal role in elevating the design. The tiles feature subtle variations that beautifully catch the light, while the vanity area incorporates patterned wall tiles to create a striking focal point. Smooth ceramic surfaces, such as the curved basin, contrast with structured metallic details, offering a balanced and tactile experience.

The finishing touches have been carefully curated to complete the look. A sleek, freestanding toilet roll holder and brush set in matching brushed brass seamlessly tie the design together. Meanwhile, natural elements, such as dried florals in a glass vase and the homeowner’s daughter’s cherished shell collection, soften the overall aesthetic and add a sense of personality and playful charm.
