Gallery: Family bathroom with wood-effect tiles and LED lighting

This recent client project blends style with practicality to create the ultimate family bathroom.

The brief for this bathroom was to design an easy-to-maintain space that could be used by the homeowners, as well as family and friends when they stay. With this in mind, practicality was key, as the homeowners wanted a space that would be easy to clean and keep looking fresh.

A simple gloss-finish bath, suitable for the whole family, was selected and positioned with plenty of surrounding space for ease of use and maintenance. Matt black brassware, used for the bath mixers and throughout the rest of the space, adds a stylish touch and ties in seamlessly with other elements of the client’s home, including their black-framed windows and doors.

The matt black accents continue into the shower area where a large showerhead provides a luxurious experience, whilst the hand shower offers practicality for routine and deep cleaning. The shower door, featuring matching black handles and hinges, ensures the space looks coordinated and cohesive.

A large wall-hung vanity unit offers ample storage to keep clutter out of sight of staying guests and makes cleaning the floor quick and hassle-free. Above the vanity unit, a backlit mirror adds both functional lighting and visual interest; since the room lacks windows, lighting was a crucial aspect of the design. Our designer cleverly incorporated LED strip lighting throughout the space, providing soft, ambient illumination while highlighting key design features.

Wood-effect tiles, used consistently across the floors and walls, create a cohesive backdrop for the minimalist fixtures and fittings. Their natural grain and texture bring warmth and an organic feel to the space, while their durability ensures the design will remain timeless.
