Gallery: Monochrome shower room with marble-effect tiles

The owners of this home in Hampshire wanted to create a grown-up stylish en-suite for use by their son.

The focal point within this room is the basin area where a simple black vanity unit creates contrast with the striking patterned marble-effect tiles which sit behind it. The vanity unit offers plenty of practical storage and its wall-hung configuration opens up the floor space, making the room feel more spacious than it is.

To add further interest to this area, our designer incorporated a strategically placed LED light under the vanity unit to add depth to the room and again make it feel bigger. The large round mirror, complete with anti-mist pad, helps to bounce light around the room and its curved design softens the space.

At the far end of the room is a generously-sized walk-in shower which features a sleek fixed panel glass pane and bold black brassware. The combination of overhead and hand-held showers create a hotel-inspired showering experience, as well as offer a practical solution to cleaning the area. By using the same flooring throughout the main bathroom and shower area, our designer has created a seamless finish which again helps make the room feel larger.

The room is finished with a simple wall-hung WC and matt black flush-plate which complete the polished aesthetic perfectly.
