Gallery: Traditional bathroom with bateau bath

Large Bathroom with Berry Coloured rolltop bath

The owners of this townhouse weren’t afraid to make a statement in their bathroom and wanted to create a ‘wow’ space which suited the surroundings of the rest of the property.

With an impressive open space to work with, our designer placed the berry coloured bateau bath in the centre of the room, enhancing it with a tile ‘rug’ to create a striking focal point. His and hers sinks frame the original fire place and the dark vanity units sit within the wall recesses providing ample storage without impinging on the space.

On the opposite side of the room stands the spacious shower space, complete with large rainfall showerhead and handy wall niches to store shampoo bottles and soap. The enclosure is completely frameless, adding a modern twist to the traditional design and creating open vistas across the room.

Our designer chose dark wooden flooring as a fitting option for the character property and beautifully finished the space with brushed black chrome brassware and a statement light fixture to add an interesting industrial element.
