This recent client project has a sleek and sophisticated design which combines practicality with aesthetic appeal. The brief was to create a timeless family bathroom for grown-up children in a busy home, so our designer got to work creating a smartly-designed space which will stand the test of time.

The most prominent aspect within the room is its large-format marble-effect tiles which adorn the walls and floor to create a seamless finish. The subtle veining in the tiles adds texture and visual interest without overwhelming the space and their durable finish means they’re easy to maintain - perfect for a busy room used by the whole family.

The colour scheme is a masterclass in subtlety and sophistication. The client opted for chrome brassware in a sleek design which keeps the space looking clean and unfussy. The chrome finish compliments the tones within the tiles and vanity unit, creating a calm and cohesive backdrop, allowing the fixtures and accessories to shine. The use of black as an accent colour in the mirrors adds depth and contrast, preventing the space from feeling monotonous.

Natural light is a crucial component of this bathroom's design and the generously sized window allows ample sunlight to pour in, making the space feel airy and open. Additional, atmospheric lighting has been incorporated through the hanging pendants which offer a subtle glow.

Attention to detail is evident throughout the design of this bathroom; the placement of the WC is discreet, ensuring it doesn’t dominate the space and the choice of accessories, such as the simple soap dispensers, align with the minimalist theme. The spacious walk-in shower, complete with rainfall showerhead, gives a hotel-inspired experience, whilst the separate handshower is perfect for cleaning and non-hair-wash days. The vanity unit featured deep drawers, perfect for hiding away towels and bathroom clutter and keeping the space serene.
