Gallery: Pink shower room with wooden slatted panelling

The owners of this home in Hampshire wanted to create a sleek and stylish family shower room which embraced the colour pink.

The focal point within this room is the basin area where a simple white vanity unit creates contrast with the architectural wooden slatted panelling which sits behind it. Not only does the panelling add an interesting design element, it also brings texture and warmth which is further enhanced by the light from the large LED mirror. This area is finished with a simple basin and on-trend brushed brassware.

The brassware is also a key feature within the room, being utilised for the two showers but also for the little details such as the shower screen trim. By incorporating both an overhead and hand shower, the designer has created a practical solution for non-hair wash days, as well as for cleaning the entire area. The wood-effect floor tiles are continued from the main part of the room, into he shower area, creating a continuity which helps the room look bigger than it actually is. Character and charm are introduced through the pale pink metro tiles which are used on the walls of the shower area and give the room a playful edge. Their glazed finish add an interesting dimension to the room which helps bounce light around and echo the design of the slatted wooden panels.

The space is finished with a simple wall-hung WC and brushed brass flush-plate which complete the look.
