Ripples radar: 3 designers, 3 dream schemes

When it comes to designing the perfect bathroom, every designer brings their own unique vision. From moody modern aesthetics to cosy, colourful accents, the details that make up a dream bathroom vary widely. Here, we’ll hear from three of our designers on their dream bathroom schemes.

Connor’s contemporary retreat

Connor, designer from Ripples Beaconsfield, has a clear vision for a sleek, modern bathroom. His style leans toward a darker, moodier palette, which sets a luxurious, calming atmosphere.

“Personally, I like a more modern look with a moody darker tone. Brass fixtures and fixings paired with bottle green paint or tiles is always a great combination and I would have to have a walk-in shower with a big overhead for the ultimate luxury As for the basin, I would choose a fabricated tile basin with linear waste and wall-mounted taps,” Connor shares.

Connor’s dream bathroom focuses on sharp, clean lines and high-quality materials. The combination of brass fixtures with a deep bottle green adds richness and depth to the space, meanwhile, the choice of a walk-in shower with a large overhead brings functionality and indulgence together, ensuring that every shower feels like a spa experience. Connor's preference for a custom fabricated tile basin and linear waste speaks to his appreciation for seamless design and practicality, ensuring his dream bathroom is not only beautiful but efficient.

Kalli’s bold and functional escape

Kalli, designer from Ripples Towcester, envisions a bathroom that’s not just visually striking but also practical for everyday use. Her dream space centres around a large, inviting bathtub—the ultimate focal point.

Kalli, designer from Ripples Towcester, envisions a bathroom that’s not just visually striking but also practical for everyday use. Her dream space centres around a large, inviting bathtub—the ultimate focal point.

“My dream bathroom would have a beautiful large bath front and centre! It would be easy to keep clean, beautifully tiled with lots of smart storage solutions, including a recessed mirror cabinet, niches and a vanity unit. I love bold, colourful designs, so my bathroom would have a colourful feature tile partnered with wood accents to keep that nice cosy feeling,” Kalli says.

For Kalli, storage is just as important as style. With smart storage solutions, such as recessed mirror cabinets and built-in niches, her bathroom would stay clutter-free while maintaining an elegant aesthetic. The use of colourful feature tiles paired with warm wood accents creates a balanced space that feels both vibrant and cosy—a perfect reflection of Kalli’s passion for bold design mixed with warmth and practicality.

For Paula, the owner of Ripples Saffron Walden, the ideal bathroom is all about indulgence, relaxation and a touch of drama. Her vision embraces dark, sultry tones with a touch of elegance and personality.

“I love the whole Atelier dark and sultry look with a few bold prints and sumptuous brassware in brushed brass. Not forgetting of course, a huge bath with a shelf for a nice, chilled glass of bubbles and some lovely smelling candles,” Paula explains.

Paula’s dream bathroom is the epitome of luxury. The Atelier style she favours combines a moody atmosphere with bold, statement-making prints and finishes. The use of brushed brass adds warmth and sophistication to the space, while the inclusion of a large bath and thoughtful touches like a shelf for a glass of champagne and candles ensure that her bathroom would be the ultimate relaxation haven. It’s a place to escape from the world and indulge in a little self-care.
