The challenge for this project was to create a tranquil bathroom complete with double-ended tub and walk-in wet room from a limited layout that previously comprised two en-suite shower rooms. Having bought their bungalow two years ago, the clients desperately missed having a bath to relax and unwind in and were eager to see what ideas Ripples could suggest.
The logical solution for the designer was to make room for a large bathroom by carving out a third of the garage. It was an idea that hadn’t occurred to the couple previously so they were delighted to go ahead.
In order to create a soothing sanctuary that the clients could retreat to after a hard day at work, a calming colour scheme was chosen complete with quality fixtures and fittings. A spacious double-ended bath was teamed with fresh white sanitaryware, brushed steel brassware and a stylish high-gloss vanity unit.
Against a backdrop of smooth and textured tiles, a luxurious walk-in shower was designed complete with storage niche for shower gels and toiletries. To offset the limited natural light available, a layered effect of atmospheric LED task lighting above the feature tiles and dimmable mood lights within the recess were also included.
